The Victoria College students in the WEB PAGE/DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA AND INFORMATION RESOURCES DESIGN program will have access to a web hosting account on HostGator, a live commercial web host. The host uses Apache, mySQL and PHP. Many PHP scripts can be automatically installed through the Fantastico area of cPanel. If you don't have an account you can view the demo cPanel at the link above. The username and the password are both demo. Current students can get account information for their own web space from their instructor.

After getting your account information use this guide to access your site:

• To view your site: http:// username.vcworks.org
• To access cPanel: http://username.vcworks.org:2082
• FTP host name: ftp.username.vcworks.org
• Joomla! administration: http:// username.vcworks.org/administrator (insert folder name before administrator if you installed Joomla! in a folder.)
  • Don't forget you Joomla! username and password: it can be difficult to recover and I cannot simply reset it.
  • Remember: make backups.
• Student accounts have a 300 MB disk quota
